Joxean Koret has reported a vulnerability in Inkscape, which potentially can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a user's system.
The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error in the SVG importer. This can be exploited to cause a buffer overflow by tricking a user into opening a specially crafted SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics) file.
Successful exploitation may allow execution of arbitrary code.
Solution: Update to version 0.43 or later.
