Description:
rgod has reported a vulnerability in PHPX, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct SQL injection attacks and compromise a vulnerable system.

Input passed to the "username" field when logging into the administration section isn't properly sanitised before being used in a SQL query. This can be exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.

This can further be exploited to bypass the authentication process and access the administration section where arbitrary PHP scripts can be uploaded and executed.

Successful exploitation requires that "magic_quotes_gpc" is disabled.

The vulnerability has been reported in version 3.5.9 and prior. Other versions may also be affected.

Solution:
Apply patch.
