Debian has issued an update for kernel-source-2.6.8. This fixes some vulnerabilities, which can be exploited by malicious, local users with an unknown impact, to cause a DoS (Denial of Service), to gain knowledge of potentially sensitive and to gain escalated privileges, or by malicious people to bypass certain security restrictions and potentially to cause a DoS.
