Description:
Two vulnerabilities have been reported in Blender, which can be exploited by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service) or potentially to compromise a user's system.

1) An integer overflow error exists within the "get_bhead()" function in "readfile.c" when parsing ".blend" files. This can be exploited to cause a heap based buffer overflow by tricking a user into opening a specially crafted ".blend" file.

Successful exploitation may allow execution of arbitrary code.

The vulnerability has been reported in versions 2.x through 2.40pre. Other versions may also be affected.

2) An insecure use of the "eval()" function exists in bvh_import.py. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary python code by tricking the user to import a malicious ".bvh" file that contains a hierarchy element.

The vulnerability has been reported in version 2.36. Prior versions may also be affected.
