Description: r0t has reported some vulnerabilities in SPIP, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting attacks.
Input passed to certain parameters in "spip_login.php3" and "spip_pass.php3" isn't properly sanitised before being returned to the user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of an affected site.
The vulnerabilities only affect an experimental feature in certain development versions.
Solution: The vulnerabilities have been fixed in the latest development version.
Never run development versions on production systems.
Provided and/or discovered by: r0t
Changelog: 2006-02-06: Added information about only development versions being affected.
