Beskrivelse:
Der er rapporteret en sårbarhed i Ethereal, som potentielt kan udnyttes af ondsindede personer til at forårsage et DoS (Denial of Service).

Sårbarheden skyldes en uendelig løkke fejl i GTP protokol afkoderen. Dette kan udnyttes til at forårsage at Ethereal går i en uendelig løkke og opbruger alle tilgængelige CPU ressourcer.

Sårbarheden er rapporteret i version 0.9.1 til 0.10.13.
