Description:
Some vulnerabilities have been reported in MyBB, where some have unknown impacts and others can be exploited by malicious people to conduct script insertion and SQL injection attacks.

1) Input passed to the "message" field when posting a message isn't properly sanitised before being used. This can be exploited to inject arbitrary HTML and script code, which will be executed in a user's browser session in context of an affected site when the malicious message is viewed via "printthread.php".

The vulnerability has been confirmed in version 1.01. Other versions may also be affected.

2) Input passed to the file extension of uploaded files isn't properly sanitised before being used in a SQL query. This can be exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.

Successful exploitation requires that "magic_quotes_gpc" is disabled.

The vulnerability has been confirmed in version 1.01 and has also been reported in version 1.0. Other versions may also be affected.

3) Some unspecified errors exists with an unknown impact.
