Description

Some vulnerabilities have been reported in Blue Coat WinProxy, which can be exploited by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service) and potentially compromise a vulnerable system.

1) A design error in the HTTP proxy in the handling of long HTTP requests can cause an out-of-bounds memory access. This can be exploited to crash the service via an overly long HTTP request of approximately 32,768 bytes.

The vulnerability has been reported in version 6.0. Previous versions are reportedly not affected.

2) A boundary error exists in the HTTP proxy in the handling of an overly long "Host" header in a HTTP request. This can potentially be exploited for arbitrary code execution.

The vulnerability has been reported in version 6.0. Prior versions may also be vulnerable.

3) A design error in the Telnet proxy when handling a long input string containing the "0xFF" character can cause heap corruption. This can be exploited to crash the service.

The vulnerability has been reported in version 6.0. Prior versions may also be vulnerable.
