Description: Ulf Harnhammar has reported a vulnerability in SMS Server Tools, which can be exploited by malicious, local users to cause a DoS (Denial of Service) and potentially to gain escalated privileges.
The vulnerability is caused due to a format string error in "logging.c" when logging certain error messages. This can potentially be exploited by local users to crash the service and may allow arbitrary code execution with root privileges.
The vulnerability affects version 1.16.1. Other versions may also be affected.
Solution: Upgrade to version 2.2.11.
A fix is not available for version 1.x.
