Description: A security issue has been reported in Kolab Server, which potentially can be exploited by malicious, local users to disclose certain sensitive information.
The security issue is caused due to users' passwords being logged to "/kolab/var/postfix/log/postfix.log" in the default configuration of the Kolab Server, when the users authenticate via secure SMTP. This can potentially be exploited by local users to disclose the passwords.
Successful exploitation requires that readable permissions have not been removed from the log file.
The vulnerability has been reported in versions 2.0.1 and 2.0.2, and in development versions prior to pre-2.1-20051215. Prior versions may also be affected.
