Description:
Aliaksandr Hartsuyeu has discovered two vulnerabilities in wordcircle, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct script insertion and SQL injection attacks.

1) Input passed to the course name field when adding a new course isn't properly sanitised before being used. This can be exploited to inject arbitrary HTML and script code, which will be executed in a user's browser session in context of an affected site when the malicious user data is viewed.

2) Input passed to the password field when logging in isn't properly sanitised before being used in a SQL query. This can be exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.

Successful exploitation requires that "magic_quotes_gpc" is disabled.

The vulnerabilities have been confirmed in version 2.17. Other versions may also be affected.
