Description: $um$id has reported a vulnerability in SMBCMS, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting attacks.
Input passed to the "text" parameter in the site search feature isn't properly sanitised before being returned to users. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of an affected site.
Successful exploitation requires that the site search feature has been configured to display the search keyword together with the search results.
The vulnerability has been reported in version 2.1. Other versions may also be affected.
