Description: Knud Erik Højgaard has discovered a vulnerability in Farmers WIFE, which can be exploited by malicious users to compromise a vulnerable system.
The vulnerability is caused due to an input validation error in the built-in FTP server listening on port 22003/tcp. This can be exploited to escape the FTP root and create or overwrite arbitrary files via directory traversal attacks.
NOTE: Exploit code is publicly available.
The vulnerability has been confirmed in version 4.4 SP2 and has also been reported in version 4.4 SP1. Other versions may also be affected.
Solution: Update to version 4.4 SP3.
