Description:
Some vulnerabilities and a security issue have been reported in CubeCart, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting attacks and bypass certain security restrictions.

1) Some input isn't properly sanitised before being returned to the user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of an affected site.

Examples:
http://[host]/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=1">[code]
http://[host]/index.php?act=viewDoc&docId=3">[code]
http://[host]/index.php?act=viewProd">[code]
http://[host]/index.php?act=viewCat&catId=1">[code]
http://[host]/index.php?act=viewCat&catId=saleItems">[code]
http://[host]/index.php?searchStr=[code]&act=viewCat
http://[host]/cart.php?act=reg&redir=[code]
"username" parameter passed to "index.php?act=login"

The vulnerabilities have been confirmed in version 3.0.7-pl1. Other versions may also be affected.

2) It is possible to access the "admin/includes/rte/editor/filemanager/browser/default/connectors/php/connector.php" script without being authenticated as the administrator. This can be exploited to upload arbitrary files without being authenticated.

The security issue has been reported in versions 3.0.0 through 3.0.6. Prior versions may also be affected.

Solution:
Update to version 3.0.8.
