Description: Some vulnerabilities have been discovered in MyBB, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting attacks.
Input passed to the "sortby" and "sortordr" parameters in "search.php", and the "referer" HTTP header in "usercp2.php" when adding a thread to favorites isn't properly sanitised before being returned to the user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of an affected site.
It has also been reported that administrators can include arbitrary files from local resources via the "plugin" parameter passed when activating a plugin in the plugin manager.
The vulnerabilities have been confirmed in version 1.02. Other versions may also be affected.
