Description: Some vulnerabilities have been reported in cPanel, which can be exploited by malicious users to conduct script insertion attacks and by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting attacks.
1) Some input isn't properly sanitised before being returned to the user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of an affected site.
Examples:
http://[victim]:2082/frontend/x/diskusage/index.html?showtree=[code]
http://[victim]:2082/frontend/x/stats/detailbw.html?target=[code]
http://[victim]:2082/frontend/x/stats/bwday.html?mon=1&year=&domain=[code]
http://[victim]:2082/frontend/x/stats/bwday.html?mon=1&year=[code]
http://[victim]:2082/frontend/x/stats/bwday.html?mon=[code]&year=2006
http://[victim]:2082/frontend/x/stats/bwday.html?mon=1&year=&domain=&day=[code]
2) Input passed to the "extension" and "mime-type" in "mime/handle.html" isn't properly sanitised before being used. This can be exploited to inject arbitrary HTML and script code, which will be executed in a user's browser session in context of an affected site when the malicious user data is viewed.
