Description: Pierre Betouin has reported a vulnerability in hcidump, which can be exploited by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service).
The vulnerability is caused due to an error in the handling of the L2CAP (Logical Link Control and Adaptation Layer Protocol) layer in "l2cap.c". This can be exploited to crash hcidump by sending a L2CAP packet with a specially crafted header through a wireless Bluetooth connection.
The vulnerability has been reported in version 1.29. Other versions may also be affected.
