|
|
Description: imei addmimistrator has discovered a vulnerability in MyBB, which can be exploited by malicious users to conduct SQL injection attacks.
Input passed to the "posts" parameter in "moderation.php" isn't properly sanitised before being used in a SQL query. This can be exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.
Successful exploitation requires moderator privileges.
Example:
http://[victim]/moderation.php?posts=[pid]|[code]&tid=[pid]&action=do_multimergeposts&sep=hr
The vulnerability has been confirmed in version 1.03. Other versions may also be affected.
Solution: Update to version 1.0.4.
