Description:
Evgeny Legerov has reported a vulnerability in IBM Tivoli Directory Server, which can be exploited by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service).

The vulnerability is caused due to an error in the LDAP server within the handling of certain requests. This can be exploited to crash the service via a specially-crafted request sent to port 389/tcp.

The vulnerability affects the following versions:
IBM Directory Server version 4.1 (all platforms except AIX)
IBM Directory Server versions 5.1 and 5.2 (all platforms except AIX)
IBM Directory Server version 6.0 (all platforms except AIX)
