Description:
Aliaksandr Hartsuyeu has reported some vulnerabilities in phphd, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting and SQL injection attacks, and bypass certain security restrictions.

1) Input passed to the "username" parameter in "check.php" during login and other unspecified parameters isn't properly sanitised before being used in a SQL query. This can be exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.

Successful exploitation requires that "magic_quotes_gpc" is disabled.

2) An error in the authentication process in "check.php" can be exploited to bypass the authentication process by defining certain cookie parameters.

3) Some input passed to unspecified parameters in "add.php" isn't properly sanitised before being returned to the user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of an affected site.

The vulnerabilities have been reported in version 1.0. Other versions may also be affected.
