Description:
James Bercegay has reported multiple vulnerabilities in HiveMail, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting and SQL injection attacks or compromise a vulnerable system.

1) Input passed to the "contactgroupid" parameter in addressbook.update.php, the "messageid" parameter in addressbook.add.php, and the "folderid" parameter in folders.update.php is not properly sanitised before being used. This can be exploited to include arbitrary PHP code, which will be executed on the system.

The calendar.event.php, index.php, pop.download.php, read.bounce.php, rules.block.php, and language.php scripts are reportedly also affected.

2) Unsanitised "$_SERVER['PHP_SELF']" references can be exploited to conduct cross-site scripting and SQL injection attacks.

The vulnerabilities have been reported in version 1.3. Other versions may also be affected.

Solution:
Use another product.
