Description: A vulnerability has been reported in ProxyAV, which can be exploited by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service) or potentially compromise a vulnerable device.
The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error within the handling of "Host" headers, which can be exploited to cause a stack-based buffer overflow via an overly long "Host" header field.
NOTE: The vulnerability only affects web console access to the device.
Solution: The vulnerability will be fixed in ProxyAV 2.4.2.3.
Until the fixed version is available, the vendor recommends restricting access to the web interface to trusted IP addresses (see vendor advisory for details).
Provided and/or discovered by: Reported by vendor.
