Description: Stefan Cornelius has reported a vulnerability in BomberClone, which potentially can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a vulnerable system.
The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error within the processing of error messages. This can be exploited to cause a buffer overflow via an overly long error message.
Successful exploitation may allow execution of arbitrary code.
The vulnerability has been reported in version 0.11.6.2. Prior versions may also be affected.
Solution: A patch has been committed to the CVS repository.
