Description: Evgeny Legerov has reported some vulnerabilities in Fedora Directory Server, which can be exploited by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service).
1) Memory leaks in the LDAP component when processing BER packets can be exploited to exhaust available memory resources via specially crafted BER packets.
2) An error in the LDAP component within the dn2ancestor code can be exploited to exhaust available CPU and memory resources via a DN containing a large amount of "," (comma) characters.
3) An error in the LDAP component when processing BER packets can be exploited to crash the service via a specially crafted BER sequence.
The vulnerabilities have been reported in version 1.0. Other versions may also be affected.
Solution: Restrict access to the LDAP service.
