Description: dong-houn yoU has discovered a vulnerability in ViRobot Linux Server, which can be exploited by malicious people to bypass certain security restrictions.
The vulnerability is caused due to the "filescan" CGI program failing to properly validate credentials that are submitted via cookies before allowing access. This can be exploited to gain access to the "File Scan" functionality without requiring knowledge of the username and password.
The vulnerability has been confirmed in version 2.0 (20050817). Other version may also be affected.
Solution: Restrict access to the service.
