Description:
A vulnerability has been reported in EMC Retrospect Client for Windows, which can be exploited by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service).

The vulnerability is caused due to an assertion error in the backup client and can be exploited to cause it to terminate by sending a specially crafted packet to port 497/tcp.

The vulnerability affects versions 6.5 and 7.0 for Windows.

Update to version 6.5.138 and 7.0.109.
