|
|
Description: Liz0ziM has discovered a vulnerability in DVguestbook, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting attacks.
Input passed to the "f" parameter in "dv_gbook.php" is not properly sanitised before being returned to the user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of an affected site.
Successful exploitation requires "register_globals" to be enabled.
The vulnerability has been confirmed in version 1.0. Other versions may also be affected.
Solution: Edit source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised.
Set "register_globals" to "Off".
Provided and/or discovered by: Liz0ziM
Changelog: 2006-03-14: Added CVE reference.
