Description:
Tix has discovered a vulnerability in phpBannerExchange, which can be exploited by malicious people to disclose sensitive information.

Input passed to the "email" form field in recoverpw.php is not properly sanitised before being used by resetpw.php. This can be exploited to disclose the contents of arbitrary files via directory traversal attacks.

The vulnerability has been confirmed in version 2.0 on a Linux system. Other versions may also be affected.

Solution:
The vulnerability has been fixed in an updated 2.0 version.
