Description:
Luigi Auriemma has reported a vulnerability in Monopd, which can be exploited by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service).

The vulnerability is caused due to an error in the server when parsing an overly long input string received from the client. This can be exploited to cause the server to consume large amount of CPU and memory resources, and potentially causing a DoS.

The vulnerability has been reported in version 0.9.3 and prior.

Solution:
Apply patch.
