Description: A vulnerability has been reported in NetWare, which potentially can be exploited by malicious users to cause a DoS (Denial of Service).
The vulnerability is caused due to an unspecified error in NWFTPD.NLM within the handling of the MDTM command. This can be exploited to cause abnormal termination of the service via an overly long filename supplied to the command.
The vulnerability has been reported in NWFTPD.NLM versions prior to 5.07.
Solution: Update to NWFTPD.NLM version 5.07 (requires NetWare 6.5 SP4 or higher, or OES NetWare SP1 or higher).
