Michal Zalewski has discovered a vulnerability in Internet Explorer, which potentially can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a user's system.

The vulnerability is caused due to an array boundary error in the handling of HTML tags with multiple event handlers (e.g. onLoad). This can be exploited to corrupt memory in a way that may allow execution of arbitrary code via a malicious HTML document containing an HTML tag with 94 or more event handlers.

The vulnerability has been confirmed on a fully patched system with Internet Explorer 6.0 and Microsoft Windows XP SP2.
