Description: A vulnerability has been reported in webcheck, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct script insertion attacks.
The vulnerability is caused due to an input validation error in the parsing of website content when crawling websites. This can be exploited by a malicious website to inject arbitrary HTML and script code via the URL, title, or author name, which will be executed in an administrator's browser session in context of an affected site when the malicious data is viewed via generated reports.
The vulnerability has been reported in version 1.9.5. Prior versions may also be affected.
Solution: Update to version 1.9.6.
