CVE-2008-2698

Description:
Some vulnerabilities have been discovered in WEBalbum, which can be exploited by malicious people to gain knowledge of potentially sensitive information and conduct script insertion and SQL injection attacks.

1) Input passed to the "skin2" cookie parameter isn't properly verified, before it is used to include files. This can be exploited to include arbitrary files from local resources.

Successful exploitation requires that "magic_quotes_gpc" is disabled.

2) Input passed to the parameter "id" in photo.php is not properly sanitised before being used in SQL queries. This can be exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.

3) Input passed to the parameter "comment" in photo_add-c.php is not properly sanitised before being used. This can be exploited to insert arbitrary HTML and script code, which is executed in a user's browser session in context of an affected site when the malicious data is viewed.

The vulnerabilities are confirmed in version 2.04, vulnerability #1 is also confirmed in version 2.02. Other versions may also be affected.

Solution:
Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised and verified.
