Der er rapporteret et sikkerhedsproblem i Samba, som kan udnyttes af ondsindede, lokale brugere til at få kendskab til følsom information.
Winbindd gemmer maskinens login-oplysninger til et domæne i klartekst i winbind logfilerne, som kan læses af alle. Dette kan afsløre login-oplysningerne, som kan udnyttes til at udgive sig for serveren i et domæne og få kendskab til yderligere information.
Succesfuld udnyttelse forudsætter, at log-niveauet er sat til 5 eller højere.
Sikkerhedsproblemet er rapporteret i version 3.0.21 til og med 3.0.21c.
Løsning:
Opdatér til version 3.0.22, eller installér patch.
