|
Description: Some vulnerabilities have been reported in Dia, which potentially can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a user's system.
The vulnerabilities are caused due to boundary errors within the XFig import plugin. This can be exploited to cause buffer overflows and may allow arbitrary code execution when a specially-crafted FIG file is imported.
The vulnerabilities have been reported in versions 0.87 through 0.94, and in pre-release 0.95-pre1 through 0.95-pre5.
Solution: The vulnerabilities have reportedly been fixed in pre-release 0.95-pre6.
Provided and/or discovered by: The vendor credits infamous41md.
Changelog: 2006-04-03: Updated description.
