|
|
Description: Some vulnerabilities have been discovered in Bugzero, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting attacks.
1) Input passed to the "msg" parameter in various scripts (login.jsp, main.jsp, and query.jsp) and the "entryId" parameter in edit.jsp is not properly sanitised before being returned to users. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of a vulnerable site.
2) Input passed to the "projectId" parameter in edit.jsp and the "error" parameter in error.jsp is not properly sanitised before being returned in error messages to users. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of a vulnerable site.
The vulnerabilities have been confirmed in version 4.3.1-0158. Other versions may also be affected.
Solution: The vulnerabilities have been partially fixed in version 4.3.7-0165.
Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised.
