Description
Some vulnerabilities have been discovered in MWNewsletter, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct script insertion attacks and SQL injection attacks.

1) Input passed to the "user_name" parameter in subscribe.php is not properly sanitised before being saved. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in an administrator's browser session in context of an affected site when malicious data is viewed.

2) Input passed to the "user_name" parameter in unsubscribe.php is not properly sanitised before being used in a SQL query. This can be exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.

3) Input passed to the "user_email" parameter in unsubscribe.php and to the "user_name" and "user_email" parameters in subscribe.php is not properly sanitised before being used in SQL queries. This can be exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.

Successful exploitation requires that "magic_quotes_gpc" is disabled.

The vulnerabilities have been confirmed in version 1.0.0b. Other versions may also be affected.

Solution
Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised.
