Description:
A vulnerability has been reported in Symantec LiveUpdate for Machintosh, which can be exploited by malicious, local users to gain escalated privileges.

The vulnerability is caused due to certain components not setting their execution path environment, which can be exploited to execute arbitrary programs with System Administrative privileges.
