Description: Marcel Holtmann has reported a vulnerability in the Linux Kernel, which can be exploited by malicious, local users to bypass certain security restrictions. The vulnerability is caused due to an input validation error in the CIFS mounted filesystem. This can be exploited to bypass chroot restrictions via the "..\\" directory traversal sequences. The vulnerability has been reported in versions prior to 2.6.16.11.
