Description: Nomenumbra has discovered some vulnerabilities in CMScout, which can be exploited by malicious users to conduct script insertion attacks.
1) Input passed to the message form field when posting in a forum is not properly sanitised before being used. This can be exploited to insert arbitrary HTML and script code, which is executed in a user's browser session in context of an affected site when a malicious posting is viewed.
2) Input passed to the message form field when sending a personal message is not properly sanitised before being used. This can be exploited to insert arbitrary HTML and script code, which is executed in a user's browser session in context of an affected site when a malicious message is viewed.
The vulnerabilities have been confirmed in version 1.10. Other versions may also be affected.
