Description: Park Gyu Tae has discovered a vulnerability in BankTown BtCxCtl20Com ActiveX Control, which potentially can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a user's system.
The vulnerability is caused due to boundary error within the "SetBannerUrl()" method. This can be exploited to cause a stack-based buffer overflow via an overly long argument passed to the first argument of the method.
Successful exploitation may allow arbitrary code execution but requires that the user is e.g. tricked into visiting a malicious website.
The vulnerability has been confirmed in version 1.5.2.50209 and also reported in version 1.4.2.51817. Other versions may also be affected.
