Description: Some vulnerabilities have been discovered in Cute Guestbook, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct script insertion attacks.
1) Input passed to the "comment" parameter in guestbook.php is not properly sanitised before being used. This can be exploited to insert arbitrary HTML and script code, which is executed in a user's browser session in context of an affected site when malicious data is viewed.
2) Input passed to the "name", "email", and "website" parameters in guestbook.php is also not properly sanitised before being used. This can be exploited to insert arbitrary HTML and script code, which is executed in a user's browser session in context of an affected site when malicious data is viewed.
The vulnerabilities have been confirmed in the latest version (2006-05-05). Other versions may also be affected.
Solution: Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised.
