Description: rgod has reported some vulnerabilities in PHP-Fusion, which can be exploited by malicious users to compromise a vulnerable system and by malicious people to disclose sensitive information.
1) The vulnerability is caused due to an error in the handling of file uploads where a filename has multiple file extensions. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary PHP code by uploading malicious avatar images.
Successful exploitation may allow execution of script code depending on the HTTP server configuration (it requires e.g. an Apache server with the "mod_mime" module installed).
2) Input passed to the "settings[locale]" parameter in "infusions/last_seen_users_panel/last_seen_users_panel.php" is not properly verified before being used to include files. This can be exploited to include arbitrary files from local resources.
Note: This is only vulnerable on windows systems.
Successful exploitation requires that "register_globals" is enabled and that "magic_quotes_gpc" is disabled.
The vulnerabilities have been reported in version 6.00.306. Other versions may also be affected.
Solution: 1) Update to version 6.00.307.
http://www.php-fusion.co.uk/downloads.php
2) Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly verified.
