|
|
Description: Kacper has discovered a vulnerability in Hot Open Tickets, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a vulnerable system.
Input passed to the "CLASS_PATH" parameter in various scripts in the "admin" and "class" directories isn't properly verified, before it is used to include files. This can be exploited to include arbitrary files from external and local resources.
Successful exploitation requires that "register_globals" is enabled.
The vulnerability has been confirmed in version 11012004_ver2f. Other versions may also be affected.
Solution: Set "register_globals" to "Off" for this application (e.g. with a .htaccess file).
Provided and/or discovered by: Kacper
Additional information provided by anonymous.
Changelog: 2006-06-07: Added CVE reference.
