Description:
r0t has discovered a vulnerability in DGNews, which can be exploited by malicious users to compromise a vulnerable system.

Due to improper checks of file extensions in admin/upprocess.php it is possible to upload arbitrary files to the "img" directory. This can e.g. be exploited to upload and execute malicious PHP scripts.

Successful exploitation requires access to the administration section.

The vulnerability has been confirmed in version 1.5. Other versions may also be affected.

Solution:
Grant only trusted users access to the administration section.

Edit the source code to ensure that file extensions are properly checked.
