CVE-2006-2848

Description:
ajann has discovered two vulnerabilities in aspWebLinks, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct SQL injection attacks and to bypass certain security restrictions.

1) Input passed to the "linkID" parameter in links.asp isn't properly sanitised before being used in a SQL query. This can be exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.

2) Access to the "Modify Config" functionality is not properly restricted. This can be exploited to change the admin user's password and other configuration settings without requiring knowledge of the password.

The vulnerabilities have been confirmed in version 2.0. Other versions may also be affected.

Solution:
Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised.
