Description:
Kacper has reported some vulnerabilities in BlueShoes Framework, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a vulnerable system.

Input passed to the "APP[path][applications]" parameter in applications/faq/Bs_Faq.class.php, to the "APP[path][plugins]" in applications/websearchengine/Bs_Wse_Profile.class.php, and to the "APP[path][core]" in multiple files is not properly verified before being used to include files. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary PHP code by including files from local or external resources.

Files affected by the "APP[path][core]" parameter:
applications/filebrowser/fileBrowserInner.php
applications/filemanager/file.php
applications/filemanager/viewer.php
applications/imagearchive/Bs_ImageArchive.class.php
applications/mailinglist/Bs_Ml_User.class.php

Successful exploitation requires that "register_global" is enabled and that the framework is installed under the web root directory.

The vulnerabilities have been reported in version 4.5 and 4.6. Other versions may also be affected.

Solution:
Install the framework outside the web root directory.

Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly verified.
