Description:
luny has discovered a vulnerability in Weblog Oggi, which can be exploited by malicious users to conduct script insertion attacks.
Input passed when submitting a reaction to a posting is not properly sanitised before being saved. This can be exploited to insert arbitrary HTML and script code, which is executed in a user's browser session in context of a vulnerable site when a malicious comment is viewed.
The vulnerability has been confirmed in version 1.0. Other versions may also be affected.
Solution:
Filter malicious characters and character sequences in a web proxy.
