|
Description: luny has discovered a vulnerability in Particle Links, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting attacks.
Input passed to the "username" parameter in admin.php during login isn't properly sanitised before being returned to the user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of an affected site.
It is also possible to disclose the full path to certain scripts by accessing them directly and cause a SQL error by accessing index.php with an invalid "topic" parameter.
The vulnerability has been confirmed in version 1.2.2. Prior versions may also be affected.
Solution: Update to version 1.3.0.
Provided and/or discovered by: luny

2006-06-15: Added CVE reference.
2007-05-14: Updated "Solution" section. Removed CVE reference.
