Description:
Federico Fazzi has discovered some vulnerabilities in phpCMS, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a vulnerable system.

Input passed to the "PHPCMS_INCLUDEPATH" parameter in various scripts isn't properly verified, before it is used to include files. This can be exploited to include arbitrary files from external and local resources.

The following scripts are affected:
* parser/parser.php
* parser/include/class.parser_phpcms.php
* parser/include/class.session_phpcms.php
* parser/include/class.edit_phpcms.php
* parser/include/class.http_indexer_phpcms.php
* parser/include/class.cache_phpcms.php
* parser/include/class.search_phpcms.php
* parser/include/class.lib_indexer_universal_phpcms.php
* parser/include/class.layout_phpcms.php
* parser/plugs/counter.php

Successful exploitation of some of the scripts requires that "register_globals" is enabled and that support for ".htaccess" files is disabled.

The vulnerabilities have been confirmed in version 1.2.1pl2. Other versions may also be affected.

Solution:
Update to version 1.2.2.
